About Me
I am largely a self-taught artist. As a young child some of the happiest moments were spent lost in time while drawing people and animals . After venturing into my careers including as a hydro-geologist and later as a leadership consultant/coach, I set my art aside... but returned to it later around the age of forty. After that I began taking classes in oil painting learning different techniques. Over time my own style started to emerge.
My work likes to retain an element of realism, yet weaves abstract forms into the same painting. This reflects my passion for the complementary opposites, the Yin and Yang, found in human beings and all of life. I'm drawn to expressing the inexpressible, an underlying reality of life such as the spirit, the consciousness dwelling inside humans and animals, plants and really everything.

Painting with oils is my medium of choice although I often use an acrylic underpainting.
